What's the story?

Founded in 2002, the unorthodox origins of Compass & Co. proved to be the heart of its success.

Compass began life as a film production and distribution company. Content ranged from Sacha Baron Cohen’s feature film debut to documentaries for the BBC and avant guarde classics like “C’était un Rendezvous”.
But in 2007, “The Ministry of Truth” (for BBC’s Storyville) and the legal threats which followed were a memorable introduction to the world of politics, policy and public affairs.
"Never have so many politicians ducked and run for cover…utterly compelling!"
The Daily Telegraph
By 2013 the legal letters had become briefs. Alongside NGOs, Compass was now working with politicians, governments and businesses. “Impact” productions - built to change hearts and minds had taken hold - and the real value of Compass & Co. was coming into focus.
Production companies are wired to overcome practical and resource constraints with creative solutions; it’s in their DNA, a built-in, habitual mindset. Applying that mindset to the challenges facing clients and their consultants came naturally - and now shapes not only how Compass & Co. creates strategy, but also how it builds the team to deliver it.

Where traditional agencies rely on strategists and sector experts alone, Compass also brings leading creative talent. Ranging from authors to film directors, by combining creative freethinkers with disciplined experts, Compass & Co produces strategy and outcomes which break through the constraints of legacy mindsets, limited resources and the most challenging of circumstances.
“Some of the fastest, most creative thinking on strategy and comms I’ve seen.”
